Webinar on Mathematics Education offered by ATHENA European University Consortium, 16th of October 2020

The majority of our students do not seem to like studying mathematics or to appreciate the power of mathematics to deal with real-life problems or to realize the importance of mathematics along with their career advancement. We believe that the poor performance in mathematics mainly originates from the aforementioned lack of realization of linking mathematics with real-life & applications in all the topics: from social sciences to business economics. Mainly this failure comes from the way Mathematics is taught in the educational stages of education.

The Hellenic International Relations Office of the Hellenic Mediterranean University from Greece, the ATHENA consortium, and EVM, an SME from Spain, involved very actively in the Erasmus & Horizon 2020 projects took the initiative to organize a Webinar focused mostly on the modern trends along with Mathematics Education that aim to provide ‘life’ in Mathematics.

All the speakers participating in the Webinar have expertise in Mathematics Education. The Webinar is free of charge, happens on the frame of the Erasmus Days 2020. It will happen remotely and tt requests registration in order to be followed. All the participants will receive a certification of attendance.

I hope that you will join us.
